Jelwa is a small village of 384 hectares in Bilara Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jelwa depends on Bilara, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Jelwa is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Jelwa's pin code is 342602[4], and village code is 02013500. The area of Jelwa is segregated as 192.22 hectares irrigated area, 86.3 hectares unirrigated, the 67.13 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 38.11 hectare area not available for cultivation.
