Jeerota is a small village of 1437 hectares in Sapotra Tehsil in Karauli district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jeerota depends on GANGAPUR CITY, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 52.86% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Jeerota is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Jeerota's pin code is 322203[4], and village code is 01244100. The area of Jeerota is segregated as 784.23 hectares irrigated area, 132.76 hectares unirrigated, the 163.43 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 356.12 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Jeerota is a census village in the district of Karauli, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3488 and has total administration over 661 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of GANGAPUR CITY and Karauli to sell earthen pots and make their living.
