Jeerai is a small village of 65 hectares in Gogunda Tehsil in Udaipur district, also called 'the city of lakes' set amidst the Aravalli Ranges in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jeerai depends on Udaipur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Jeerai is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Jeerai's pin code is 313705[4], and village code is 03083300. The area of Jeerai is segregated as 3 hectares irrigated area, 25 hectares unirrigated, the 15 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 22 hectare area not available for cultivation.
