Jay C. Block, born (November 9, 1970) in Manchester, New Hampshire, United States, is a Retired Officer of the United States Air Force. Block graduated from high school in 1989, enlisting in the United States Air Force Reserve and also served in the North Dakota Air National Guard while attending North Dakota State University. Block would later graduate with a degree in political science, while at the same time, earning his commission in the United States Air Force. He served in severed as an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Launch and Maintenance Officer, Space Launch Operations for the Titan Launch Vehicle at Cape Canaveral Air Station in Florida, and a Nuclear Policy Officer at the United States Pentagon. He later volunteered to serve in Afghanistan where he led and organized numerous humanitarian missions in Afghanistan. Block was later selected multiple commands in the Netherlands and on the British island of Ascension in the South Atlantic Ocean. In 2016, he retired as Lieutenant Colonel from Kirtland Air Force Base, in Albuquerque, New Mexico residing in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. After his retirement, he ran for Sandoval County Commissioner and won election in 2016 and reelction in 2020.
