Jawandh Jooni is a small village of 2828 hectares in Jaisalmer Tehsil in Jaisalmer district, nicknamed ""The Golden city"" in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jawandh Jooni depends on JAISALMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Jawandh Jooni is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tanker. Jawandh Jooni's pin code is 345001[4], and village code is 02038400. The area of Jawandh Jooni is segregated as 298.85 hectares irrigated area, 520.17 hectares unirrigated, the 1894.15 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 115.1 hectare area not available for cultivation.
