Javier Prieto Martínez (born November 7, 1979 in Gijón, Asturias, Spain) is a Spanish international business consultant, writer, and speaker specializing in marketing, international expansion, and sports strategy. He has developed his career in Europe and Asia, notable for his work in business internationalization and his role in sports management at Real Avilés Club de Fútbol.
Professional career
Sports Management
Between 2014 and 2016, Prieto held the position of Business Director at Real Avilés Club de Fútbol.[1][2] During this stage, he was responsible for the commercial modernization of the club, implementing new management and fan loyalty systems.[3] At the same time, he served as Communications Director of the Quini Foundation[4] supporting its social initiatives.
Consulting and Business
In 2016, his company Mirador Sports Management was awarded the Innovative SME Award by the Asturias Innovation Club, a recognition granted within the framework of the Club de La Nueva España Awards.[5] His work has focused on advising companies such as Mapfre, ISASTUR GROUP, Telefónica, NH Hoteles and Prosegur on international expansion processes and commercial strategy.[6]
Academic Activities
He has given lectures and training sessions in various institutions, such as the Chamber of Commerce of Zamora[6] and was one of the professors of the pioneering Master of Social Media in Asturias.[7] His experience in Asia led him to become a visiting professor at Shanghai Jiaotong University, one of the most prestigious universities in China.
As a writer, he is the author of several books on business opportunities in Asia, including "El Boom del Español en Asia"[8] and "El Boom Inmobiliario en Asia".[9] He has also participated in the translation of more than 50 books, collaborating on a project that received an international award for the most translated Indian author in the world.[10]
He also contributed writing chapter 7 on the book "Federated Learning and Privacy-Preserving in Healthcare AI" published by IGI Global Scientific Publishing[11].
In the field of conferences, he has been a speaker at events such as TEDx, where he addressed topics of neuromarketing and international strategy.[12]
