Jason Case

The Jason Case concerns the death of a cat named Jason that was filmed and streamed live by a YouTuber on December 30, 2018.[1] The YouTuber in question, known as Peluchn Entertainment Channel, was later found guilty of animal cruelty .[2] Like the Manchinha Case, which took place on November 28, 2018, a month after the Manchinha Case, The case generated great national and international repercussions.[3]

On December 30, 2018, the youtuber tortured and beat the cat to death.[4] The viewers ended up revolting and started to denounce the aggressor.[5]

YouTuber Peluchin Entertainment was taken into custody and later charged with animal cruelty.[6]
reactions
The Jason case generated great national and international attention.[7] Leo Otaco made an outrage video on YouTube in order to draw attention to Jason,[8] and the justification of the case led to the proposal of stricter laws against animal abuse.[9]
Consequences
The YouTuber was sentenced to a $1 million fine for the incident,[10] and YouTube removed his channel as a result.[11]
