Jaryn Anthony Simpson (born July 19, 1999) is an American professional basketball player. He is a point guard who most recently played for BC Teuta Durrës of the Albanian Basketball Superleague and Liga Unike.

Early Life and Personal Life

Simpson was born and raised inside Erie, Pennsylvania. He attended and played basketball at Cathedral Preparatory High School up until 2017. He has one sister, Alexis, who played basketball at Mercyhurst University.

College Career

Simpson attended Edinboro University[1] majoring in Health & Physical Education with a focus in Sports Management while playing basketball for the Fighting Scots.

In 2017-2018, played in all 29 games to help the Fighting Scots push for a playoff run in which the season came to a close in the PSAC Semi-finals.

In 2018-2019, Simpson earned All-PSAC West Second-team accolades by leading the Fighting Scots with 18.0 points per game. He shot 90.2 percent from the free throw line to break and hold the new school record. While averaging 37.3 minutes a game, he recorded a 33 point game on 1/12/19 against Pitt-Johnstown and a 34 point game on 12/2/18 against Bloomsburg. Simpson ends the season by having Edinboro's first triple double since 2007-2008 season with tallying 25 points, 14 rebounds, and 11 assists.

In 2019-2020, Simpson recorded 17 double-digit scoring performances counting 4 games with 20 or more points. Career high came late in season vs Clarion with 38 points.

In 2021-2022, Simpson earned his 1,000th point for the Fighting Scots and ended his career with 1,202 points. Along with basketball, he completed his Bachelor Degree in Sports Management.
