Jared V Preslar (born May 27, 1977) is an American tattoo artist, entrepreneur, business coach, and podcaster best known as the owner of Lucky Bamboo Tattoo Studio. He runs a podcast show called ‘Pres The Topic With Jared Preslar.’
Early life and education
Preslar grew up in Layton, Utah. As a child, his mother enrolled him in various art schools over the summer.[1] Preslar developed a keen interest in tattoos at the age of twelve and wished to make art an important part of himself for the rest of his life. He later moved to Las Vegas at the age of fourteen and finished his high school there.[2]
Career
Preslar started his tattoo apprenticeship in 1996 at the age of nineteen, followed by the launch of his tattoo studio in 2007. He started attending tattoo conventions and conducting seminars for artists across Europe and other states.[3]
Preslar, as an oil painter and a digital artist, started selling oil paintings and commissioned pieces around 2008. His work has been published and featured in many magazines, both nationally and internationally. Jared’s tattooing is inspired by legendary tattoo artists like Filip Leu, Guy Aitchison, Horiyoshi III, Shige, and Jeff Gogue, to name a few.[4]
Preslar is also a podcaster and host of the show "Pres The Topic With Jared Preslar," where he explores topics that need to be addressed and pressed.[5]
Awards
Preslar has won many awards for his tattoo work, and his studio, Lucky Bamboo Tattoo, has been featured as the best tattoo studio in Utah for several years in a row.[6]
Personal life
Preslar has a daughter who is sixteen years old.[7]
