Jared Forman (born September 20, 1989) is an American film and television composer best known for his work on Star Wars Rebels, Making a Murderer, and Badland.
Life and Career
Jared Forman grew up in the Los Angeles community of Chatsworth. He began playing clarinet at age 11, shortly followed by saxophone, self-taught guitar, and drums by age 13. Forman attended California State University, Northridge for Music Business and then the Film Scoring graduate program at University of California, Los Angeles.
In 2011, Forman began working with music producer and mentor Marc Mann on a couple of albums and then assisting on projects for composer Danny Elfman.
In 2014, Forman began working with Composer Kevin Kiner on television shows including, Star Wars Rebels, Making a Murderer, and Jane the Virgin. Through his work with Kiner, Forman also worked with Gustavo Santaolalla.
In 2017, Forman began working with director Michael Tollin on Morningside 5 and Kevin Makley's production company, Papa Octopus Productions, on Big Legend, followed by Any Bullet Will Do. Forman scored Bruce Willis' last film, Hard Kill in 2022.
