Jamie Schwaberow is an American sports photographer. He has been the Director of NCAA Photos since 2016 and is the owner of Clarkson Creative Photography.[1]
Schwaberow was born in 1974 in Kettering, Ohio. He graduated from Valley View High School in Germantown, Ohio in 1992, and then he attended Toledo University for one year before graduating from Bowling Green University, where he studied journalism. After graduating, Schwaberow worked for both the Columbus Dispatch and Boston Globe. His break came when covering the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics, when he was an intern for Rich Clarkson. In 1999, Jamie left the Boston Globe to move to Denver and work for Clarkson and Associates, becoming the team photographer for both the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies in the process. In 2016, he took over the sports photography company Clarkson Creative, when Clarkson retired.[2]
Schwaberow has covered a wide range of sports, including baseball, basketball, football, golf, soccer, and hockey. He has also photographed major sporting events, such as the Olympics, Super Bowl, NCAA football and basketball championships, and World Series. Schwaberow's work has been published in newspapers and magazines around the world.[2]
Schwaberow lives in Denver with his wife and two children.[2]
