Jamie McDonough (born 1989) is a British football coach currently serving as the head coach of Manchester 62 FC in the Gibraltar National League[1]
Early Career
McDonough began his coaching career in England, working at various youth academies and lower-league clubs. His early career and experiences led to his involvement with The Football Association,[2] where he delivered UEFA coach education to aspiring coaches.[3] Prior to his current role, he held numerous coaching positions globally, including in England with Newcastle United, as well as in Spain, Sri Lanka, China, and Iceland.
Managerial Career
McDonough took his first managerial role in professional football with Tindastóll (men's football) in Iceland[4] before moving to Manchester 62 FC in Gibraltar.[5] Under his leadership, the team has competed in the Gibraltar National League. In the 2022/23 season, he guided the team to a 7th-place finish, improving their position to 6th place in the 2023/24 season.[6] They currently sit 4th in the league in the 2024/25 season having also reached consecutive National cup semi-finals.[7]
