James Williams Tyrrell

James Williams Tyrrell (10 May 1863-16 January 1945) was an explorer and mine promoter. He was the brother of Joseph Burr Tyrrell. He was born in Weston, Ontario and died in Bartonville, Ontario and was the son of William and Elizabeth Tyrrell. He joined the Geological Survey of Canada in 1883 and started working in the Lake of Woods region as a topographer.
