James H. Dargie is an American artist, a creative director for motion pictures and video games, and a published author. He has worked on several commercially successful big budget Hollywood films, and as an art director of popular video games.[1]

Early life

Born January 29 1970, in North Adams, Massachusetts|Mass. Dargie is a 1995 graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. In the same year he started working as a Computer graphics|CG artist with the Take Two Interactive company, eventually rising to the position of lead artist and technical director.[2]

Career

After his work at Take Two, Dargie began working in the motion picture industry, working first for Square Pictures, and subsequently in 2001 he was hired by LucasArts as a computer modeler. He was also engaged by ESC Entertainment to work on computer generated scenes in Matrix Reloaded and Matrix Revolutions|Revolutions. Dargie was later employed by Electronic Arts, one of the leading video game production house.[2]
