James Giles is a Kingston Independent Residents Group (KIRG) councillor in Kingston upon Thames London Borough Council.[1] In November 2023, he was suspended from his role in the Local Government Association (LGA) as he supported a ceasefire in the Gaza war.[2] He was the Workers Party candidate for Birmingham Hodge Hill and Solihull North in the 2024 United Kingdom general election, which was won by Liam Byrne of the Labour Party.[3]
