Dimitris "James" Basdanis (born January 7, 1988) is a Greek guitarist and Composer[1][2], and book author[3].

Early life

Basdanis was born in the city of Volos. He began learning to play the guitar at age 15. In 2005, he moved to Ioannina city.

Career

In 2016 James Basdanis independently released his first Electric guitar Single, Lacrimosa Blue[4][5]. The track consisted of both Rock and Greek Tradidional style, played by electric guitar.

In 2018 he released his first international book "Anatolian Modes: Eastern and Greek Scales Analyzed on Modal Theory"[3].

In 2019 his Debut Album "Kaemos"[6][7] released on the JBMusic label . Seven instrumental tracks of World Jazz-Rock music. The track no.3 (Nihavent Sirto) of this album won the "Aplaud Jazz Fusion Contest 2019"[8].

A year after his debut album "Kaemos", composer and guitarist James Basdanis released an EP of three new compositions, titled "Diddycoy"[9][10][11]. These instrumental songs that James Basdanis wrote during the post-release time of "Kaemos" and performed them Live with the Anatolian trio in several cities in Greece.
