Meer Kazim Ali (02 September 1904) popularly known as Allama Jameel Mazhari was an Indian Poet and Writer in Urdu language. He is one of the founders of the Marsiya.[1][2][3][4]
Early life and education
Meer Kazim Ali was born on 02 September 1904 in Hasanpur, Saran.[5]
He completed his Master of Arts from the Calcutta University in 1931. He is a Student of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, Hussain Khayal, Aghaz Hashr, Naseer, and Allama Raza Ali Wahshat.[6]
Career
Mazhari joined politics with the Indian National Congress in 1937 and became Bihar Administration head but resigned in 1942 when Sri Krishna Sinha-led Congress Govt. fall.[7]
