Jalkhan is a small village of 1029 hectares in Bilara Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jalkhan depends on Pipar City, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 252.78% of the total supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Jalkhan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Jalkhan's pin code is 342605[4], and village code is 02007400. The area of Jalkhan is segregated as 252.78 hectares irrigated area, 670.79 hectares unirrigated, the 13.96 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 91.47 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Jalkhan has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Jalkhan is a census village in the district of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1251 and has total administration over 249 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Pipar City and Jodhpur to sell earthen pot and make their living.
