Jalen Hooks is an American basketball player who attends Crispus Attucks High School in Indianapolis, Indiana.[1][2][3]
From Warren, Indiana he previously played at Creston Middle School in Warren Township. Following his middle school career, he played his freshman year at Franklin Central High School before transferring to Crispus Attucks High School for his sophomore year. At Point guard, he stands 6 foot 6 inches and weighs 180 pounds. He is a top 100 class of 2023 247Sports.com recruit and a consensus four-star College recruiting and one of the top players in the 2023 class.
Biography
He was born in Warren, Ohio.[4] He received his education from Warren G Harding High School.[5]
In 2016, Boston College Eagles gave an offer to Hooks.[6]
In October 2021, Hooks joined Donda Academy, a preparatory school backed by Kanye West.[7][8] Billboard included Hooks in an elite prospects list along with Zion Cruz, Jahki Howard, Robert Dillingham.[9] Before joining Donda, he was with Crispus Attucks.[10][11]
Recruiting
Hooks is considered a four-star College recruiting and a top one hundred player in the 2023 class by Rivals.com and 247Sports.com. He received offers from many NCAA Division I programs, including Illinois Fighting Illini men's basketball, Xavier Musketeers men's basketball, and LSU Tigers basketball, after starting his high school career. Hooks also has many D1 interests from the University of Kentucky and Indiana University.
