Jake Tucker (born 24th of August 2001) is an Irish Amateur boxing. He competes at Middleweight (75 kg). Tucker trains at Emerald ABC Belfast, under Harry Hawkins.[1]

Amateur career

National Titles

Jake Tucker has an impressive underage record with successfully obtaining eight consecutive Irish amateur titles, [2]and is currently Ulster Elite middleweight champion securing gold medal defeating Gerard French on February 25th 2020 in Belfast’s iconic Ulster Hall.[3]

International Competitions

Haringey Box Cup 2019

Jake Tucker won Gold medal in the Youth middleweight division of the Haringey Box Cup.[4]

Quarter final- Tucker defeated GB athlete Christy Collins from Next Generation ABC on a 3-2 split decision.

Semi-Final - Tucker defeated Adam Olaore from Howden Boxing Academy by way of W/O

Final - Tucker defeated Joel Bartell from Guildford City Boxing Club on a 4-1 majority decision to secure the gold medal podium position
