Jake Scott is an American pop singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist from Fayetteville, Arkansas. Scott is based in Los Angeles, CA with his wife Rachel.[1][2]

Musical Career

Jake Scott was born and raised in Fayetteville and graduated from the University of Arkansas. While at the university, he began to write and record music -- launching his career.[3] Scott released his first, self-produced EP, Of Life and Love and Longing, in the fall of 2013. The EP peaked at number four on the singer-songwriter charts, was featured on the Billboard Heat-Seekers chart, and quickly caught the attention of industry professionals, including GRAMMY Award–winning songwriter and producer, David Hodges. [4] In 2014, Scott moved to Los Angeles to pursue his music career after being offered a publishing deal by Hodges.[5]

Beginning in 2014, Jake began writing songs for numerous artists. He is best known for his work with Aloe Blacc, most recently the lead single “Brooklyn in The Summer.”[6] In 2015, Scott released the album, Silhouettes and Sand.[7]

In 2018, Scott began releasing a song every month starting with the single, "Tuesdays."[8][9] He has also produced every song.[10] At the start of this project, Jake had 50,000 Spotify monthly listeners, and since then, in 2020, has surpassed 3,000,000 monthly listeners.[11]

In February 2020, Jake Scott sold out his first ever tour.[12]
