Jake Marlowe (1997 – October 7, 2023) was a British-Israeli musician and bassist, known for his involvement in the hardcore band Desolated. Marlowe died during the October 7, 2023 Hamas terrorist attacks while working as a security guard at the Supernova music festival in the Negev Desert, Israel.
Early life and career
Jake Marlowe was born in London, United Kingdom, in 1997. He developed an interest in music, particularly hardcore punk and metalcore, and also had a background in graphic design. Marlowe moved to Israel in his early twenties to connect with his Jewish heritage and became active in the local music scene.
Musical career
Marlowe joined the band Desolated in the early 2010s, where he played bass guitar. In addition to his musical contributions, he was involved in creating the band’s visual materials, including album covers and promotional artwork. Notable works include the album covers for *A Life Less Lived* (2012) and *Self-Hatred* (2014).
