Jairam Mahto is an Indian politician and an independent candidate from Giridih Lok Sabha constituency of Jharkhand.He was born in the village of Mantand in Topchachi, located within the Dhanbad district of Jharkhand, India.[2] Jairam Kumar Mahato, a 30-year-old Student contested Independently, first time from Giridih for Lok Sabha General Election in 2024 and secured 3rd position with 347,322 (27.46%) vote.[3]

He founded the Jharkhandi Bhasha Khatiyani Sangharsh Samittee (JBKSS) in the year 2023[4][5], a new political party, and is a key figure in the ongoing struggle for the state's 1932 domicile policy.[6][7] Jharkhandi Bhasha Khatiyani Sangarsh Samitee (JBKSS) supremo Jairam Mahto announced the registration of his party as ‘Jharkhand Loktantr Krantikari Morcha (JLKM)’ with the Election Commission. They would fight the scheduled assembly elections in the upcoming Jharkhand Vidhan Sabha Election in 2024.[8]
