Jai Anant Dehadrai is a lawyer at the Supreme court of India who rose to prominence in 2023 when he accused AITC Lok Sabha MP Mahua Moitra (with whom he has been in a relationship with in the past) of misusing her position as a member of parliament by sharing her parliamentary login credentials to a Dubai based businessman who posted questions instead of the MP.[1]

EDUCATION

According to his personal website, Mr.Dehadrai did LLB from ILS law college in 2011 and LLM from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. [a]

He has been working in the legal field for the past 12 years and is currently practicing law at the supreme court of India.

PERSONAL LIFE

He was in a relationship with Mahua Moitra and she has stated that Mr.Dehadri is a 'Jilted Ex'.[2]

CONTROVERSY

In October 2023, Jai Anant Dehadrai made a complaint to CBI and wrote a letter to BJP MP Nishikant Dubey in which he alleged that Mahua Moitra was taking bribes from businessman Darshan Hiranandani to ask questions in Parliament specifically targeting the Adani group. Nishikant Dubey soon after wrote a letter to Om Birla, the Speaker of the lower house of Indian parliament.Dubey said that his allegations are based on Dehadrai's letter. Dehadrai claims to have evidence against the TMC MP accepting bribes.Moitra has refuted these allegations, calling them false and defamatory. She has sent legal notices to Nishikant Dubey and Jai Anant Dehadrai regarding their claims.[1][2][3]
