Jahra is a small village of 1021 hectares in Nadoti Tehsil in Karauli district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jahra depends on GANGAPUR CITY, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Jahra is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Jahra's pin code is 322213[4], and village code is 01197600. The area of Jahra is segregated as 237.97 hectares irrigated area, 70.1 hectares unirrigated, the 183.17 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 37.72 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of GANGAPUR CITY and Karauli to sell earthen pots and make their living.
