Jagru is a small village of 377 hectares in Lachhmangarh Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jagru depends on KHERLI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and One spring. Jagru is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Jagru's pin code is 301035[4], and village code is 00934300. The area of Jagru is segregated as 139 hectares irrigated area, 106 hectares unirrigated, the 1 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 25 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of KHERLI and Alwar to sell earthen pot and make their living.
