Jagadish Palanisamy (born 11 December 1988) is an Indian film producer known for his work in Tamil cinema. He is the founder of The Route,[1] a celebrity management company and production house, based in Chennai.

Career

Jagadish Palanisamy's journey in the film industry began as a celebrity manager under the mentorship of Erode Mahesh, AR Murugadoss, and G. V. Prakash Kumar. He initially managed Prakash Kumar and Atlee. In mid-2015, he started managing Vijay,[2] after which he went on to manage several other high-profile celebrities in the South Indian film industry,[3] including Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Keerthy Suresh, director Lokesh Kanagaraj, Rashmika Mandanna ,Kalyani Priyadarshan,[4] Malavika Mohanan, Priyanka Arul Mohan, Kathir, Samyuktha, Arjun Das and Anjali.[5] In 2021, Jagadish co-produced Master[6] a film directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and starring Vijay, he also co-produced the upcoming film Leo set to release in 2023.[7]

The Route

Jagadish Palanisamy founded The Route,[8] the first-ever celebrity management company in the Tamil cinema industry, in October 2020. He continued to manage the same set of celebrities under this new banner. 'The Route' also collaborated with Sony Music South to produce a series of music videos that included Kutty Pattas, starring Ashwin Kumar and Reba John, Asku Maaro, starring Kavin and Teju Ashwini, Vaada Raas, featuring Ken Karunas and Preethi Sharma, and Gandhari, starring Keerthy Suresh.

In September 2022, The Route entered the movie production space with the announcement of their debut film, Sesham Mike-il Fathima,[9] which features Kalyani Priyadarshan in a leading role.

In January 2023, ‘The Route’ announced their second film Revolver Rita starring Keerthy Suresh in the lead role.
