A computer scientist and a business leader, Jacques Bonjawo is an actor of Digital Transformation. He was a senior manager at Microsoft headquarters from 1977 to 2006.[1].He was the first African to hold a management position at Microsoft, and was a member of the Team that traveled with Bill Gates to Johannesburg in September 2003. He has also worked with numerous world leaders, such as the former President of Senegal Abdoulaye Wade, the former President of the World Bank James Wolfensohn and the former President of Côte d’Ivoire Laurent Gbagbo,[2] providing them with his expertise and advice on Digital Transformation. He’s the founding president of the African Virtual University.
Furthermore, Bonjawo has founded a series of startups in Africa and India, aimed to provide the youth with opportunities for digital training and IT project development. He’s the author of several best-selling books and has won numerous awards and distinctions throughout his career, including the French 2012 Turgot Prize, the 2011 TIGA Award (United Nations), etc. His latest book, “My Time in Silicon Valley” (ISBN-13 979-8866632657) is on the best-selling list of Amazon[3]
