Jacob Zeno

Jacob Zeno is an American football quarterback for the UAB Blazers. He previously played for the Baylor Bears.

Early life and high school

Zeno grew up in San Antonio, Texas and attended John Jay High School. During high school, he completed 1,387 yards and 14 touchdowns as a senior. He was rated a four-star recruit and committed to play college football at Baylor over offers from Florida, Georgia, Missouri, NC State, Boston College, North Carolina and Arkansas.[1][2]

College career

Zeno was an early enrollee for January 2019. During his true freshman year, he appeared in three games, and he completed all 3 of his passing attempts for 41 yards, he rushed twice for 7 yards and got a touchdown during his debut game against Kansas. During the 2020 season, he played for the last game of the season and completed 5 out of 8 attempts through the air for 18 yards and also ran the ball four times for 13 yards.[3] Zeno appeared in 2 games during the 2021 season and completed 1 out of 3 passing attempts through the air for 41 yards. On September 28, 2021, it was announced that Zeno had entered the transfer portal.[4] On December 15, 2021, it was announced that Zeno had transferred to UAB.[5][6]

UAB

During the 2022 season, he appeared in nine games and started two. He completed 721 total passing yards, 5 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions.[1] During the 2022 Bahamas Bowl, Zeno completed 1 out of 4 attempts for 48 yards.[7]
