Jack Ernest Roth (born September 1, 1984), known professionally as Jack Roth, is a British actor. He is the son of acclaimed actor Tim Roth and writer Lori Baker. He has appeared in films such as Bedlam (2012), BBC’s Great Expectations (2011), Bohemian Rhapsody (2018), and Till Death (2021).
Early life
Roth was born and raised in London, England. He is the son of actor Tim Roth and award-winning writer and producer Lori Baker. He would often accompany his father on film sets and appeared as an extra in the film Vincent & Theo, a role that ultimately went uncut. At a young age, Roth was featured in a scene of Reservoir Dogs, although this scene was later cut by director Quentin Tarantino.
Career
Roth's first acting role was in a Catford Broadway Theatre production of the film A Clockwork Orange, followed by a stage production of the film Quadrophenia.[1]
Throughout his career, Roth has played various roles in television and film. He is best known for his television role as Max in the Sky Living series Bedlam (2012) and for portraying Dolge Orlick in the BBC adaptation of Great Expectations (2011).[2]
In 2017, Roth starred in Us and Them and UK18, collaborating with actor Tim Bentinck.
In addition to television, Roth has pursued roles in film and theater. His film credits include Strawberry Fields and the biographical film Bohemian Rhapsody (2018), in which he portrayed Tim Staffell, the original lead singer of Queen before Freddie Mercury. Other notable works include his appearances in the series Medici, Detectorists, and the thriller Till Death (2021).
