Jason Wayne Brown (born October 16, 1978), known professionally as Jacewon, is an American rapper, producer, and DJ.
Born in Chicago, raised in Southern California, Jace began to DJ in 1991 and rapping in 1994. In 1998 he began assisting the program director as the music librarian at Los Angeles' KKBT 92.3 THE BEAT FM. In 2001 he would join the underground rap group, The Def Poets Society, and began releasing solo music in the mid 2000s, and toured the west coast as an opening act for KRS ONE, De La Soul, Mos Def and more.
In 2015 Jace relocated to Portland, OR where he released his first album in over a decade entitled This Little Mind of Mine. Since then, Jace has been streaming live recording sessions and DJ sets from his studio on Twitch.tv.
