Józef Ruciński (born March 10, 1883, date of death unknown) was a major in the Polish Army's sapper forces.

Biography

During World War I, he fought in the ranks of the Imperial and Royal Army. He was appointed to the rank of lieutenant with seniority from July 1, 1915, in the reserve infantry officers' corps. His home unit was Infantry Regiment No. 13.

On June 15, 1919, he was accepted into the Polish Army with the confirmation of his rank as lieutenant with seniority from July 1, 1915. He was assigned to the First Reserve of the army and called to active duty for the duration of the war.

He was promoted to the rank of major of engineers with seniority from June 1, 1919. In the 1920s, he served as an officer in the 2nd Sapper Regiment, including in 1923, when he served in the Engineering and Sapper Directorate of Corps Headquarters No. II. In June 1925, he was reassigned to the 2nd Sapper Regiment as the quartermaster. In October 1926, he was transferred to the cadre of sapper officers and assigned to the Officer Engineering School as the quartermaster. In April 1928, he was transferred to the Fortification Office in Krakow and appointed as the head of the office.

As a retired major, in 1932, he was randomly selected as a judge for the jury court in Lviv.

In 1934, he was listed in the records of the District Draft Command in Lviv City. He was assigned to Officer Cadre District No. VI and was then "designated for use in wartime."
