Ivan Jakúbek
Ivan Jakúbek (November 22, 1978, Bratislava) is an investor and business strategist. He focuses on Growth investing and Value investing, an investment strategy that brough him a track record of numerous accretive acquisitions and billion-dollar debuts to prestigious world stock exchanges[1]. He contributed to the success of international companies such as AVG Technologies[2] or W.A.G. payment solutions (EUROWAG)[3][4].
Jakúbek focuses on the global ambitions and long-term growth potential of businesses. As he stated for Financial Times, the Czech Republic is a fairly small country with limited expansion potential on its own market and this drives his ambition to globalise businesses he is involved in[5]. His investment strategy effectively combines growth with impact investing, bringing positive effect on environment and society.
Ivan Jakúbek was born in Bratislava, Slovakia. He graduated from the Faculty of National Economy at the University of Economics in Bratislava. During studies he specialised in finance, Bank and investments. During studies at Ghent University, he focused on applied econometry in banking, finance and portfolio management, what motivated his further carrier. Further he enhanced his leadership and product management skills with executive education at London Business School and University of California, Berkeley.
