Ismaila Yushau Maihanci (born October 22, 1986) is a Nigerian Politician and a business magnate. He is currently a Special Adviser to Taraba State Governor Darius Ishaku.
Early Life and Family
Ismaila Yushau Maihanci was born on October 22, 1986 to the family of Alh. Yushau Maihanci, a renowned magnate in the oil and gas industry.
Educational Background
Maihanci had his elementary school in Ibrahimiyyah Nursery and Primary School. He thereafter proceeded to Government Secondary School Jalingo where he obtained his Secondary school certificate.
He later secured admission and proceeded to Taraba state University and was awarded the Bachelor of Arts in Islamic Studies.
He is currently pursuing his Postgraduate Studies, leading to the award of a Masters Degree in Leadership Studies.
Political Career
Maihanci started his political journey from a tender age during the Governor Jolly Nyame regime. He was loved and respected by all the politicians he had served with.
He had served as the Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party PDP in Taraba State.
He had worked closely with Late Governor Danbaba Suntai and his relationship with the current Governor Darius Ishaku made so many people speculate that he would likely succeed the Governor, being that the ticket will be zoned to the northern zone of the state.
In 2019, he contested for the seat of the Member of the Federal House of Representatives to represent Jalingo, Yorro and Zing Federal Constituency but lost to Hon. Hassan Bappa.
He is currently a Special Adviser to Gov. Darius Ishaku.
He has been seen as the main force that lead to the emergence of Albasu Kunini as the Speaker of the Taraba State House of Assembly after the resignation of Rt. Hon. Abel Peter Diah.

Naihanchi Foundation has been set up by Ismaila Maihanci to see that he has impacted the lives of his people across the state.
Personal Life
Maihanci is married to Fatiha Sangari. With whom they have a son. He does gymnastics and does exercise at his free times.
As a devoted muslim, he do recite the Holy Quran when opportune.
