Isabelle Stern (born June 04, 1996), is an American-born Canadian singer and songwriter based in Montreal [1] . She is best recognized for being a co-lead artist on the 2021 single "It's Not About You" with Australian producer Marcus Santoro released with UK label Enhanced Music [2] . She is also known for her remix in collaboration with British Dj and producer HBSN of the 2020 hit of "Secrets (Regard and Raye song)" by Regard (DJ) and RAYE [3]. Stern also gained recognition after appearing as a top 6 finalist of Canada on the third season of the YTV (TV channel) reality competition series The Next Star in 2010.
Early life
Isabelle Stern was born on 4 June 1996 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida,[4]. She moved to Montreal at the age of four [5] and eventually studied at John Molson School of Business and graduated with a Bachelor of Business and a major in Marketing.
Career
2010: The Next Star
Isabelle auditioned for season 3 of The Next Star, a Canadian reality competition series, in May 2010. Out of over 10,000 hopefuls, she was selected to be in the top six of Canada and performed at Canada's Wonderland, where the live season finale was held.
2011: L'Échelle du talent
In 2011, Isabelle competed on a French television series episode on V Télé and won first place. For the season finale, Stern was called back to compete once again against other top spot winners of the season and won first place again.[6]
2015: The Next Star Spin-off
In 2015, Stern emerged a fan favourite from YTV (TV channel) network on The Next Star and was asked to return to Toronto to film Season 1 of their spin-off series: SuperGroup.[7]
2020: Secrets with HBSN
In June 2020, Isabelle released a remix cover of the single "Secrets (Regard and Raye song) by Regard (DJ) and RAYE with UK label "The Latest Sounds." The song was streamed over 1.5 times [8].
2021: It's Not About You EP
In 2021, Isabelle Stern linked up for a tune with Australian producer Marcus Santoro ON UK label Enhanced Music [9]. The record received a wealth of support from individuals like Nicky Romero, Tiësto / VER:WEST, Marlo Hoogstraten, Anjunabeats, and the single was put on rotation on Tomorrowland World One Radio. [10]
