João Castro Neves, born in 1967, is a Brazilian investor and businessman.[1] He is currently CEO of Hunter Douglas group, a manufacturer of window coverings and architectural products, and a Senior Partner at 3G Capital.[2][3]

Early Life

Neves earned a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and an M.B.A. from the University of Illinois.[4][5]

Career

Neves started his career at Brahma in 1996, where he helped facilitate a merger with Antarctica, leading to the formation of Ambev in 2000.[6]

Over nearly two decades, Neves held key leadership roles at Anheuser-Busch InBev, starting with his position as CFO of Ambev from 2005 to 2007. He subsequently served as CEO of Quilmes Industrial in Argentina from 2007 to 2008, followed by roles as CEO of Ambev from 2009 to 2014 and CEO of Anheuser-Busch and Zone President, North America, from 2015 to 2017.[6][5]

In 2018, Neves transitioned into his role as a Senior Partner at 3G Capital. Neves went on to serve as a Board Member of Restaurant Brands International and the Kraft Heinz Company, both key businesses within the 3G Capital portfolio.[7][3]

In 2022, 3G Capital acquired controlling interest of Hunter Douglas Group, and appointed Neves to his current role as CEO.[2][3][5]
