Intellias is an international information technology company specializing in software development and IT consultancy. The company currently employes 3,200 people in Germany, the United Kingdom, Malta, Poland, Bulgaria, Croatia, Portugal, Spain, Ukraine, the United States, Colombia, India, KSA, and the UAE.

History

Intellias was founded in 2002 in Lviv, Ukraine, by Vitaly Sedler and Michael Puzrakov. The company initially maintained a significant focus on providing services on the DACH market.

Though 2015-2016, Intellias expanded its operations by opening offices in Kiev and Odesa, Ukraine and Berlin, Germany.

In 2017 and 2018, Intellias appeared among the fastest-growing privately held companies in Europe in the Inc.5000 list.[1] In September 2018, Intellias secured investments from Horizon Capital, a private equity fund.[2]

In 2019, Intellias established offices in Krakow, Poland, and Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine.[3]

In 2020, Intellias announced five years of strategic partnership with HERE Technologies, a global leader in location data and digital mapping services.[4]

In 2022, the company established offices in Warsaw, Wroclaw and Lodz (Poland), Lisbon and Porto (Portugal),[5] Malaga (Spain),[6] Zagreb (Croatia),[7] Sofia (Bulgaria)[8] as well as in Chicago, Illinois and Boca Raton, Florida.[9] Throughout the year, Intellias announced providing services to TomTom,[10] CREE Building,[11] Chambers & Partners, NOMO,[12] DKV Mobility,[13] WattEV, and Connex2x.

In November 2022, Intellias confirmed its acquisition of the UK-based IT company Digitally Inspired.[14][15]

In 2022 and 2023, Intellias has showcased its capabilities in the automotive industry by presenting a self-balancing motorcycle concept[16] and a demo of a portable digital cockpit[17] at the CES, one of the largest trade shows.

In 2023, Intellias entered the Indian[18] and Colombian markets.[19][20][21] Throughout the year, the company confirmed providing services to Elmos,[22] FinCompare,[23] Supper & Supper, Pivotal,[24] Bluecode and Bizi.[25] Intellias has also announced its collaboration and partnership with GrandFarm,[26] Renesas,[27] PandaDoc and Joynext.[28]

Services

Intellias services include big data, internet of things, cloud computing, DevOps, AI/ML, cybersecurity, platform development and product design. The company mainly specializes in the mobility (including automotive and transportation), BFSI (banking, financial services and insurance). retail, TMT (technology, telecom and media) domains.

Intellias has continiuing partnerships with Amazon Web Services,[29] Microsoft Azure,[30] Google Cloud and Atlassian.

Awards and recognitions

Since 2011, Intellias has appeared on multiple lists as the best IT employers in Ukraine according to DOU.[31] Intellias has also been recognized among top-five employers in Ukraine according to Forbes Ukraine[32][33] and EY Ukraine[34] in 2021, 2022, and 2023. In 2023, Intellias has received a Great Place to Work certification in Poland.[35] Same year, the company has been listed among the top employers by Teamlyzer (Portugal), Career Show Index (Bulgaria) and Bulldogjob (Poland).[36]

The company won additional awards throughout the industry, including the IAOP Global Outsourcing 100 list in 2018-2023.[37] In 2020, Intellias won silver in the product category at the Stevie® Awards for its open-source CQRS framework.[38]

In 2022 and 2023, Intellias project management office was named among the best in Europe and globally.

In 2023, Intellias has been featured in the CEE Business Services Award,[39] DevOps Excellence Award,[40] and Globee® Awards for Information Technology.[41]

Social initiatives

Since 2016, Intellias has supported educational programs, including the Hour of Code[42] and collaboration with the Lviv Polytechnic National University and the Ukrainian Catholic University's Applied Sciences Faculty. In 2018, Intellias established a software engineering scholarship program, granting educational support to graduate students passionate about software engineering.[43]

In response to the global pandemic, Intellias procured 10,000 COVID-19 speed tests in 2020, contributing to pandemic mitigation.[44] This project was later named the Best CSR Case award by the CSR Ukraine.

Intellias is committed to promoting sustainable mobility hosting the Code a Bike event in 2016-2018 and supporting the Dyvohonka children's bicycle race in 2022-2023. Intellias was named a cycle-friendly employer by the Kyiv Bicycle Association in 2018 and by UCycle in 2020. In 2021, Intellias helped university students develop the VeloCity micro-mobility app, enhancing safe cycling in Kharkiv, Ukraine.[45]

In 2021, Intellias was the first Ukrainian IT company to adopt the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles[46] and was recognized as an equal-opportunity employer by the Ukrainian Corporate Equality Index.[47] Intellias was also named among the family-friendly companies in Ukraine according to the UNFPA.[48]

The same year, Intellias joined the UN Global Compact initiative and won its Partnership for Sustainability Award.[49][50]

Since 2021, Intellias maintains IntelliShare, a corporate crowdfunding platform.

Amid the full-scale Russian invasion, Intellias has collected over $1.8 million to support Ukraine. In 2023, the company announced its partnership with the Veteran Hub to support people with military experience,[51] and Forbes Ukraine recognized the company among the top 25 best employers for veterans.[52]
