Instasize is a photo and video mobile app available for iOS and Android (operating system)|Android devices. Instasize allows users to edit photos and videos using filters and editing tools, and share their content to social networks like Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.[1] In 2019, Instasize was the highest grossing Bootstrapping|bootstrapped mobile photo/video company in the world, and 8th overall highest grossing in the App Store.[2] As of 2019, the company has not raised any funding, and has over 500,000 paying subscribers.[3]

History

Instasize was founded in 2012 in Salt Lake City|Salt Lake City, Utah by Hector Lopez, Eddy Homez-Devroom, and Omar Arambula.[4] In 2015, Instasize was among the top 3 apps with the highest concentration of millennials in the App Store (iOS)|App Store.[5] As of 2020, Instasize has over 150,000,000 installs, including 50,000,000 on the Google Play store.[6]

Usage

The user can edit their photos and videos using various filters, borders, and adjustments including Contrast (vision)|contrast, Exposure (photography)|exposure, sharpness, saturation, tint, shadows, and temperature.[7] Users have the option of saving their photo or video to their device library or sharing it to a supported social platform.[8] User can access additional editing features with the Instasize Premium subscription.[9]
