Nicolas Lazaridis (born 13 December 1994 in Stuttgart), better known online as inscope21, is a German web video producer, comedian, and entrepreneur. He is primarily known for his comedy content on YouTube, where he has amassed millions of subscribers, and for his activity as a Twitch streamer.[1]
Career
Lazaridis created his main YouTube channel, inscope21, on 9 June 2010. He typically uploads comedy videos twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays at 6 p.m. In addition to his main channel, he has operated a second channel, InscopeLifestyle, since 6 July 2014, where he shares personal stories and discusses current topics.[2]
Since early 2020, Lazaridis has also been active on Twitch, streaming primarily video games but also hosting talk shows and cooking streams with guests. Highlights of these streams are later uploaded to dedicated channels.[3]
His main channel surpassed one million subscribers in late 2015 and two million in 2018. As of September 2020, inscope21 had over 2.5 million subscribers, and his Instagram account had nearly two million followers.[4]
Voice acting
In 2016, Lazaridis provided the German dub voice for the character Lance in the animated film Sing.
Business
Since 2015, Lazaridis has been managing director of the G-IN Fitness & Lifestyle GmbH, which operates the fashion label OLA KALA, also owned by him.[5]
Controversy
In 2019, German youth radio station Dasding reported on a viral Instagram video in which Lazaridis appeared to prepare a dish using dolphin meat. The video was later revealed to be part of a marketing campaign for organic food manufacturer followfish.[6]
