Innasi Pandiyan (born 15 June 1986) is an Indian film director and screenwriter works primarily in Tamil cinema. He started his career assisting filmmaker Arivazhagan Venkatachalam in the films Vallinam, Aarathu Sinam and Kuttram 23. He also associated with R. Ajay Gnanamuthu in the film Imaikkaa Nodigal In 2018. He debuted as director with the horror-thriller film Diary, which was received well by critics and the audience. It was declared a super hit at the box office.

Personal life

Innasi pandiyan is from Thesiyampatti village in Tenkasi District. He completed his schoolings at St.Michael High School, Ayan Singampatti, Mohideeniah high school, Vasudevanallur and Government Boys higher secondary school, Puliyankudi and later joined for Under Graduation at A.V.C. College, Mayiladuthurai. He has completed his Post Graduation Master of Business Administration at Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. He also completed D.F.Tech (Direction and screenplay writing) in M.G.R. Government Film and Television Training Institute, Chennai. He married to Jayasri Innasippandiyan and Having one Child named Innasi Tamizh Selvan.

Film career

He started his career as assisting filmmakers Arivazhagan Venkatachalam and R. Ajay Gnanamuthu. He worked in films such as Vallinam (2014), Aarathu Sinam (2016), Kuttram 23 (2017) and Imaikkaa Nodigal (2018). He debuted his first film Diary (2022 film)[1] and this movie became blockbuster at the box office. He also one of the Co Writers for Cobra (2022 film).
