The company was founded in 2013 by Lionel Charles, who has a Bachelors in Accounting & Computer Science. He also has a Commercial Pilot License and Certified Public Accountant License from USA. Lionel serves as IndiaFilings’ CEO and Managing Director. IndiaFilings has seen immense growth right from the beginning of this business due to various measure taken by the Government to promote a Digital India.
IndiaFilings started with the vision of serving entrepreneurs and startups to grow their business with affordable solutions in the complicated tax structure of India. In 2019, IndiaFilings ventured into income tax filing services for individuals followed by entry into Mutual Funds distribution in 2020. IndiaFilings has been covered and praised by major news outlets of India for their prompt business services.[4][5]
History
IndiaFilings began its operation in October 2013 with a team of just 3 people. It started with a mission of making it simple for people to start a business. From there, the company subsequently ventured into various other verticals like intellecutal property protection, GST, income tax and compliance. Over a period of 5 years the company has grown to become India's largest online compliance services platform. In August 2014, IndiaFilings won the Red Herring Award at Asia 2014 conference. By 2017, the company had outgrown over 250 employees and had five office locations - reaching 500+ employees in 2020.[6]
