Ilmango (stylized as ilmango or ILMANGO) is a German YouTuber and video gamer. Ilmango is a prominent Minecraft YouTuber, rising to fame due to his prowess in redstone engineering and technical gameplay. Renowned for his compant designs and efficient creations, Ilmango has earned his place as one of the most respected redstone experts within the Minecraft community. With a focus on optimizing farms, machines, and contraptions, he utilizes game mechanics pushes the boundaries of what's achievable in the game.
Ilmango generally does not show his face in his recordings, though his second channel occasionally shows his face during livestreams. He is generally anonymous and has revealed little personal information about himself, outside of being from Bavaria in Germany.
The intro song used in all recent Ilmango videos is Baile Mi Cumbia by Jimmy Fontanez.[1]
Life and career
In 2015, Ilmango joined the Scicraft server. His first video on the server showcased a Minecraft villager breeder[2]. His videos displaying the projects and contraptions on the server significantly increased his view count and notoriety.
In 2019, Ilmango and Scicraft members were interviewed by Minecraft Lead Developer Jeb.[3]
Ilmango has over 852,000 YouTube subscribers, and 41,000 followers on Twitter. Ilmango's YouTube channel serves as a hub for a vast array of tutorials, showcases, and collaborative projects. His dedication to sharing his knowledge has not only garnered a substantial following but has also helped countless players enhance their own understanding of Minecraft's mechanics.
Ilmango has created various miniseries involving or in collaboration with members of Scicraft. This includes various iterations of skyblock series, and more recently with a Let's Play series of Auto-TerraFirmaCraft, which is a mix of two popular Minecraft mods.[4]
