Poludonnyi Ilya (born 23 November 1988) is a Ukrainian psychotherapist and blogger. In his work he popularises the culture of mental health and treats people from mental disorders through psychotherapy sessions. He has written the books "Simple Words"[1] series and hosts a podcast of the same name with Mark Livin. Has and maintains his own YouTube channel, helping people to break down their problems easily.
Biography
Illia Poludyonnyi [2]was born on 23 November 1988 in the city of Dnipro, later moved to live in Kiev.
He received his higher education at the Kyiv National Linguistic University in 2005. He graduated from the Department of Psychology in 2010. He received a degree of specialist in psychology. Worked as a counselling psychologist on STB channel in the projects "Honey, We Kill Children" and "Save Our Family".
Studied at the Kiev branch of the Moscow Gestalt Institute on a programme for training Gestalt therapists.
Since 6 December 2013, he has created and maintains his personal YouTube channel.
Together with Mark Livin, in 2019 he became the author of the podcast[3] Simple Words. In 2021, the podcast gained over 1 million listens.
In December 2020 Illia Poludyonnyi together with the publishing house "Our Format" and The Village published a print run of the book "In Simple Words".
In 2022, together with Mark Livin, he launched the course "Psychology of People in Time of War: How to Live and Work in the New Realities".[4]
In 2023, he authored an article about Spartak Subbot, during which he spent more than six months collecting and analysing information from open sources.
