Ilan Gur
Ilan Gur is an American Chief executive officer and entrepreneur. He is currently Chief executive officer of the Advanced Research and Invention Agency (ARIA), an independent science funding body in the United Kingdom. [1][2]
He obtained his Doctor of Philosophy, Master's degree, and Bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley in Materials science and Engineering. [1][3]
Gur served as a Program Director and Senior Adviser for ARPA-E between 2011 and 2014. He has founded two science-based Startup company|startups, including Seeo Inc., which was acquired by Robert Bosch GmbH in 2015. [4]
Gur was the founder and former Chief executive officer of Activate, an innovation Nonprofit organization that uses an entrepreneurial fellowship model to help Scientist and Engineer transform their research into products and businesses. Activate's fellowship model originated at Cyclotron Road, a Division of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory|Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, founded by Gur in 2014. [3][5]
