Ignacio Rivera Quintana (born 24 April 1965) is a Spanish businessman, Executive Chairman of the Corporación Hijos de Rivera, Galician company with activity focused on the distribution of beverages. The main brand is Estrella Galicia.[1] Has sponsored Spanish Formula 1 driver Carlos Sainz Jr. since 2015, first at Toro Rosso in 2015-2017 and at Renault in 2018.[2][3]

Ignacio Rivera Quintana belongs to the fourth generation of the Rivera family. Great-grandson of José María Rivera Corral, founder of Estrella de Galicia in 1906 (A Coruña).[4]

Career

Ignacio Rivera joined the family business in 1990 and assumed the Commercial-Marketing Department. In 1999, he was appointed General Manager and Deputy Director of the company, at a time when he was working on the development and expansion of the company with the launch of new brands and the diversification of products.[5]

Since 2021, Ignacio Rivera Quintana is the current Executive Chairman of the Corporación Hijos de Rivera.[6]

In March 2023, he was appointed president of Cerveceros de España, replacing Demetrio Carceller Arce.[7]
