Ibrahim Nawaf Joharji (born December 21, 1983) He earned his degree in Islamic architecture from Umm Al-Qura University in 2006.[1] He is noted for his design work on diplomatic buildings in Saudi Arabia.[2]

Career and Projects

Joharji designed and built the new Consulate of Indonesia building in Jeddah.[3][4][5] He also designed the Joharji Hotel in Mecca.[6]

He has completed various projects for the Saudi Ministry of Interior, including administrative buildings for the Border Guard in Yanbu.[7]

Ibrahim led a 2021 initiative for new Hajj housing prototypes in Mina.[8]

Theoretical Contributions and Discourse

Joharji proposed the conceptual Archigenetics Architectural theory, which posits a link between an individual's inherited aesthetic identity and architectural preferences. The theory suggests the human face directly relates to the architectural facade, arguing that genetic factors influence design perception. This concept has generated architectural discourse and commentary across multiple specialized publications.[9][10][11][12][13][14]

He also introduced the Last Meal concept, addressing how the rise of food delivery affects urban design and building typologies.[15]

His visual art includes the TopoArtic initiative, which explores how topographical data integrates with artistic expression.[16][17]
