Hitesh Sheth is the president and CEO of Vectra AI, a cybersecurity company driven by artificial intelligence.[1]
Early Life
Hitesh Sheth was born in Kenya and grew up in Mombasa where he lived with his family in a one-bedroom apartment. He later migrated to Austin, in the United States to study computer science at the University of Texas.[2]
Career
Hitesh was the Executive Vice President and General Manager of Juniper for two years. He said he began exploring the concept of utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) for cybersecurity around 2010[3] while he served as the Chief Operating Officer at Aruba Networks. With his networking background, Hitesh Sheth said he and his peers initially considered the traditional approach of developing specialized chips for deep packet inspection (DPI). However, they realized the limitations of this method and engaged in discussions about the transformation of cybersecurity.[3]
In 2012, he became the CEO of TraceVector LLC which later became Vectra AI, a company dedicated to leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance network security.
