Hishub Thapaliya(हिशुब थपलिया; born 16 January 1999) is a Nepalese professional footballer who plays as a Forward for Nepal Super League club Kathmandu Rayzrs FC and Nepal National Team. He was selected as the marquee player for the defending NSL champions of the inaugural season.[2] Thapaliya has made his debut for the National Team against Myanmar on 8 September 2023. [3]

Earlier career

Hishub has been playing football since very young age. He played for various clubs notably Dharan Football Club, Bijay Youth Club, Saraswati Youth Club and Sunakothi F.C. in his earlier career.

Jawalakhel youth club

On early 2023, Hisub joined Martyr's Memorial A-Division League club Jawalakhel YC from C-Division Qualifier club Sunakothi FC. He played various tournaments and became Man of the Match in couple of them.

He made his top flight debut against defending champions Machhindra F.C.. He was able to score his debut goal and give a debut assist in the league on the same match. He played 27 matches in the 2023 season of A Division League, where he started 25 of them scoring 4 goals and assisting 4 times. He scored his first brace in the top flight against Nepal Police Club in 6-1 victory on 19 April 2023. [4] Thapaliya helped JYC have a great start to the season.

Kathmandu rayzrs FC

On September 29, 2023 Hishub was roped in by Nepal Super League club Kathmandu Rayzrs FC as their marquee player.

Senior Team

Hishub had his moment of debuting for the National setup on 8 September 2023 against Myanmar. He came on in the 83' of the game which ended in the 0-0 draw at the Thuwunna Stadium. Likewise, he also came on as a substitute in another friendly match against Myanmar which ended in the 1-0 win to the hosts.
