Hirken Ka Than is a small village of 949 hectares in Gudha Malani Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Hirken Ka Than depends on BARMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 110.80% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Hirken Ka Than is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Hirken Ka Than's pin code is 344704[4], and village code is 02175900. The area of Hirken Ka Than is segregated as 169 hectares irrigated area, 766.28 hectares unirrigated, remaining 13.72 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Barmer to sell woolan cloth and make their living.
