Hindustan Times
The Hindustan Times is an Indian English-language daily newspaper published in India's English language. Established in 1924 by Sunder Singh Lyallpuri, the founder-father of the Akali movement as well as the Shiromani Akali Dal in the Punjab Province. Because it was a nationalist newspaper, it played an important part in the Indian independence struggle. Shobhana Bhartia is the proprietor of the publication. It is the flagship magazine of HT Media, a company owned by the KK Birla family and headquartered in Mumbai.
The Hindustan Times is one of the most widely read newspapers in India, with a readership of over a million copies. As of November 2017, it has a circulation of 993,645 copies, according to the Audit Bureau of Circulations. After The Times of India, the Hindustan Times is the second most frequently read English daily in India, according to the Indian Readership Survey 2014 (IRS). It is particularly popular in North India, with simultaneous editions published in New Delhi, Mumbai, Lucknow, Patna, Ranchi, and Chandigarh. It is also available in other parts of the country.
The print site for the Jaipur edition was closed down in June 2006, while the print location for the Nagpur edition was closed down in September 1997. In 2004, HT established a new youth-oriented newspaper, HT Next. Both the Mumbai and Kolkata editions were introduced in 2005, with the Mumbai edition debuting on July 14th and the Kolkata version debuting in early 2000, respectively. The Hindustan Times has many sister magazines, including Mint (an English business daily), Hindustan (a Hindi daily), Nandan (a monthly children's magazine), and Kadambani (a weekly magazine) (monthly literary magazine). It, like other newspapers, also publishes a children's edition to cater to their needs. There is a radio station, Fever 104.0 FM, and an education-related company called Studymate. The media group also organises an annual Luxury Conference that has featured speakers such as designer Diane von Fürstenberg, shoemaker Christian Louboutin, Gucci CEO Robert Polet, and Cartier MD Patrick Normand. The Hindustan Times is owned by the KK Birla branch of the Birla family, which is based in Mumbai.

S Mangal Singh Gill (Tesildar) and S. Chanchal Singh (Jandiala, Jalandhar) were appointed as the newspaper's editorial and production directors. Members of the Managing Committee included Madan Mohan Malaviya and Tara Singh, to name a few names. Master Sunder Singh Lyallpuri served as the company's Managing Chairman and Chief Patron.
